We started modmoodhome with a simple observation: buying a sofa shouldn’t be this hard.

Think about it. You spend weeks researching, visit a showroom, fall in love with a couch, and then the real headache begins. Delivery fees. Scheduling windows. Waiting all day for a truck. Praying it fits through the door. Then comes the assembly — or the $200 fee to have someone else do it for you. And if it doesn’t work out? Returns can be just as frustrating.

We thought there had to be a better way. So we built one.

What We Do

modmoodhome makes premium compressed corduroy sofas that ship in a box. Every piece arrives vacuum-sealed, fits through your front door, and expands to full size within hours. No assembly. No tools. Fast delivery. No frustration.

Why Corduroy

We didn’t set out to be a “corduroy brand.” We set out to find the best fabric for our design — and corduroy won, clearly.

It’s soft without being slippery. It’s warm in winter and breathable in summer. It hides pet hair better than any smooth fabric. It resists pilling, abrasion, and everyday wear. The ribbed texture adds visual depth that flat fabrics simply can’t match. And it gets better with age, not worse.

We use corduroy because it’s the right material for the job — not because it’s trendy (though it happens to be). If something better comes along, we’ll switch. Until then, corduroy is it.

Why No Assembly

We believe furniture should work for you, not the other way around. You shouldn’t need an Allen key and a free Saturday to set up a couch. You shouldn’t have to choose between “affordable” and “delivered and assembled.”

Our vacuum-compression technology means the sofa is fully built at the factory — frame, cushions, covers, everything. It gets compressed flat for shipping, and when you open it, it expands back to full size. The foam does the work. You just unbox and relax.

It’s the same technology behind the mattress-in-a-box revolution, applied to full-size sofas. And just like those mattresses, the result is a product that’s better for your wallet and easier on your schedule.
